In the latest video for his YouTube channel, Football.london reporter Alasdair Gold has been discussing the latest goings-on at Tottenham Hotspur, with a focus on Spurs’ business in the transfer window and Jose Mourinho’s squad ahead of their next fixture against West Ham United

During the video, the journalist seemed very excited about the noises coming out of the Spurs camp with regards to what Gareth Bale has been showing in training in recent weeks. The Welsh international re-joined from Real Madrid on loan in the recent summer transfer window but is yet to make his second debut for the club due to a knee injury.

How well can you remember the last week of Spurs action? 1. Who scored Spurs' first goal in the win against KF Shkendija?

However, the 31-year-old is back in training and it seems as if the north London club are hopeful he may be available for their fixture against West Ham after the current international break.

Here’s what Gold had to say about Bale during his video:

“There’s such excitement around the training ground. Apparently, people behind the scenes have been watching him, he’s working outdoors now, and have just been blown away by what they’re seeing.”

TIF Thoughts…

From what Gold suggests, those at Spurs have been very impressed with what they have seen from Bale in training as he edges closer to a return to full fitness. Last season, the winger contributed just two goals and two assists in 16 La Liga appearances for Real Madrid, which saw him average a fairly solid 6.82/10 rating (per WhoScored), which Spurs fans and Bale will no doubt be hoping to see an improvement on during his time with the Lilywhites.

Do you think Bale could feature against West Ham?

With Mourinho’s side in excellent goalscoring form at the moment, having scored 13 goals in their last two fixtures, it seems as if we won’t have to wait too long until Bale grabs his first goal back with the north London club.
