How well can you remember the last few weeks of Spurs action? 1. Which played scored a hattrick against Maccabi Haifa?

On the topic of Oluwayemi’s loan move to Maidenhead, Gold had this to say on the matter.

He said: “Josh Oluwayemi went out [on loan]. 19-year-old goalkeeper, he’s gone to Maidenhead United in the Conference.

“I know some people are only really that bothered about the first team but that’s actually quite a significant little loan move because for young goalkeepers it’s very difficult to get them loans; it really is.

“It’s not the easiest thing to do because a lot of clubs, maybe won’t take a chance on a young unproven goalkeeper and obviously at a club like Spurs, they’re not going to get minutes so to get Josh, who’s a very talented young ‘keeper out on loan in the Conference, he’ll play hopefully week in week out, senior football, men’s football, it can only be a real benefit to him.

“Keep an eye on him, he’s a talented lad, honestly. He’s been playing a lot of U23 matches in the last season or so and I think he can really push on with that.”

According to the official Spurs website, Oluwayemi has joined Maidenhead on loan until January.

During his time at Spurs, the 19-year-old has made a total of 33 appearances for the club’s youth teams in which he has conceded 40 goals and managed to keep 13 clean sheets.

According to Transfermarkt, Oluwayemi has made 23 appearances for their U18 squad, six for their U23 squad and four for their UEFA U19 squad.

TIF Thoughts on Alasdair Gold’s comments on Oluwayemi and his loan move to Maidenhead…

It’s clear from what Gold had to say in his video that he is a big fan of Oluwayemi and his talents, which is nice to hear.

Hopefully, Oluwayemi can make the most out of his loan move to Maidenhead and return to the north London club with some useful experience under his belt.
