Spurs fans on Twitter have flocked to a tweet from Football.london journalist Alasdair Gold regarding an increase in capacity at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The journalist tweeted a link to his article for Football.london, in which he confirms that the Lilywhites have had a request to add an additional 547 seats to the stadium approved by the local council, which will see the capacity increased to 62,850.
Although fans attending elite football matches is currently banned due to the restrictions to try and prevent the spread of the current viral outbreak, it looks as if by the time all football fans are allowed to return, there will be even more fans than usual inside the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Some Spurs fans were clearly more bothered about getting back into the stadium to watch games.
Those behind closed doors games are really depressing, I am so sick of them. Players and fans need a real football atmosphere. Bale’s comeback without the fans roaring is a sad thought, for him of course but surely for Spurs fans. Imagine the whole stadium shouting Bale Bale…

Couldn’t they put ballet on instead? Get fans on that way.

Overall, whilst some Spurs fans were delighted with the news, it seems clear that the majority are desperate to return, so hopefully we will see some fans back in the stadium in the near future.
