Fans of Tottenham Hotspur have taken to Twitter in reaction to Lucas Moura’s performance in the club’s victory at Burnley on Monday evening.
Despite Spurs eventually running out 1-0 winners in the fixture thanks to Son Heung-min’s second-half header, fans of Spurs have criticised the performance of Moura, who Jose Mourinho opted to start in the match while leaving the likes of Gareth Bale and Erik Lamela on the bench.
So, what exactly did these Tottenham Hotspur fans think of Lucas Moura’s performance in the match?
I have spent far too much of my life watching Lucas Moura play football.

What a disappointing half. The usual suspects are being problematic (Sissoko awful, Moura anonymous, Davies’ ability to supply the forwards being similar to that of a boulder) We need an X factor – get Bale on for the full second 45 in Moura’s place! #EPL #BURTOT #THFC #COYS

One thing that came out of tonight’s game loud and clear.
Davies and Moura should never be in the first team squad again.#thfc— geoff (@VictorMeldrew17) October 26, 2020
Genuinely don’t understand how Lucas Moura constantly makes the starting 11. Just a poor man’s Lamela

I think if Bale stood still on the touchline he would have had more effect than Lucas Moura did

Lucas Moura absolute useless

Looking at the Brazilian’s stats from the match, it is rather easy to see why fans of Spurs have turned their focus to the 28-year-old, as he attempted no shots or dribbles, as well as twice controlling the ball unsuccessfully, culminating in a very disappointing WhoScored match rating of just 6.16 – ranking him as Tottenham’s worst player from the starting XI.
Who do you think played worse in the Burnley fixture?
Lucas Moura
Ben Davies
In fact, the forward has been disappointing in the majority of Tottenham’s Premier League games so far this season, averaging a WhoScored match rating of 6.34 – ranking him as the club’s sixth-worst performer in the league.
Lucas Moura couldn’t deliver for just eat let alone spurs

All in all, it would seem the vast majority of these Spurs fans are not happy with Moura’s performance in the Burnley match, with many left questioning how the forward still gets in the Tottenham starting XI.
