Spurs fans on Twitter have been reacting to an update from Italian football journalist Fabrizio Romano on the club’s interest in Milan Skriniar.
The journalist suggested on his ‘Here We Go’ podcast (via The Spurs Express), that Inter expect Tottenham to come back in to try and sign the centre-back in the January transfer window, however, the Serie A side’s stance is that their €60 million (£54.3 million) price tag is non-negotiable.
The Lilywhites were heavily linked with the Slovakian international throughout the recent summer transfer window, but the two sides were ultimately too far apart when it came to negotiating a fee for the defender (per The Guardian).
The former Sampdoria man is currently valued at £45 million by Transfermarkt and has made an underwhelming start to the season for Antonio Conte’s side, averaging an average 6.51/10 rating across his two Serie A appearances (per WhoScored), which suggests that Inter’s asking price may be slightly unreasonable on current form.
Is Skriniar worth Inter's price tag?
