Tottenham Hotspur YouTuber Chris Cowlin recently welcomed Ricky Sacks onto his channel for a discussion of the latest transfer rumours surrounding the North London club.

One topic of discussion during the recent ‘Transfer Talk‘ episode was Bournemouth striker Josh King. It has been suggested recently that the Lilywhites could move for the Norwegian international following the Cherries’ relegation to the Championship last season.

The 28-year-old made 26 appearances in the Premier League last term, contributing just six goals and four assists, which saw him average a solid, if uninspiring, 6.76 rating (per WhoScored).

How well can you remember the last week of Spurs action? 1. Who scored Spurs' first goal in the win against KF Shkendija?

Here’s what Sacks had to say about Spurs potentially signing King during the video:

“It does appear at the moment that they’re showing really strong interest in Josh King of Bournemouth. People have reservations whether that player is good enough for Tottenham.

“We’ve had no second striker for over 15 months. It’s sad that I’m saying that we should be accepting anyone right now because we shouldn’t, we’re Tottenham Hotspur Football Club.

“We’ve got high ambitions, we want to aim to be the top club in London, try and aim to be the best we possibly can in the Premier League, in Europe, through every competition we go in for.

“So, as things stand, it looks like Josh King is a potential goer.”

TIF Thoughts…

Sacks is clearly desperate for Spurs to sign a striker in the current window and seems to think that King is a realistic option for the Lilywhites to sign.

Fabrizio Romano suggested recently that the former Manchester United man’s current club is in talks with Serie A side Torino over his potential transfer, so it seems as if Spurs will have to act quickly if they want to bring the forward to North London before the window shuts.

The 28-year-old would bring plenty of Premier League experience, having made 161 appearances in the top flight in his career thus far.

Considering he is valued at just £14.4 million by Transfermarkt, you can certainly argue that signing him makes sense for the Lilywhites.
