Many Tottenham Hotspur fans have been talking about the latest update involving Project Big Picture that recently emerged on social media.

The Times have recently reported that Premier League clubs have now rejected Project Big Picture during an emergency meeting that took place recently. They have agreed to hold an ‘urgent strategy review’ involving all the 20 clubs in the Premier League and they could also prepare a new ‘bail-out offer’ for the EFL.

This update was relayed on Twitter by Daily Hotspur. Many Spurs fans reacted to this news and made their feelings clear.

Do you want Project Big Picture to be implemented?

Project Big Picture desires to reduce the number of teams in the Premier League and the power would be in the hands of nine clubs that have remained in the Premier League for the longest amount of time (Arsenal, Chelsea, Everton, Liverpool, Man Utd, Man City, Southampton, Tottenham, West Ham). As part of the project, a £250m payment would be made to the EFL, plus a £100m payment would be made to the Football Association (as per Sky Sports).

Some more Spurs fans were also happy that the Premier League has rejected Project Big Picture.

Clearly, these Spurs fans don’t want the project to go ahead. One fan believes that it is an attempt at grabbing power by Liverpool and Manchester United, who had been the driving force behind this motive.

If Project Big Picture had gone through, it would have placed power in the hands of Spurs as well but would have taken some power away from the hands of clubs that aren’t a part of the reported top nine.

The comments of Spurs fans suggest that they don’t want power in the Premier League to be concentrated in the hands of just nine clubs and they are pretty satisfied that Project Big Picture has been rejected by the Premier League.
