Spurs fans on Twitter have been reacting to a report regarding former manager Mauricio Pochettino, which suggests that he is in talks with Zenit St Petersburg about potentially becoming their new manager.

According to Russian news outlet Championat (via Last Word On Spurs), the 48-year-old, who was sacked by Spurs in November of last year, is now in talks with the Russian side about becoming their new manager. The Argentinian has been out of work since he left the North London club last year, despite being linked with the likes of Real Madrid and Manchester United, but it seems as if he could make a return to management with the Russian League outfit.

During his time with the Lilywhites, the former Southampton boss took charge of 293 games, winning 160, drawing 60 and losing 73 (per Transfermarkt). He also led Spurs to their first-ever Champions League final in the summer of 2019, so it is perhaps fair to suggest that despite his sacking, he is fondly remembered by a lot of Lilywhites supporters, and that is reflected in their tweets, with many seeming to think that he deserves to go somewhere better than Zenit.
