Fans of Tottenham Hotspur have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays a report regarding the situation of Inter Milan midfielder, Christian Eriksen.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Andrea Di Caro (via SempreInter), Eriksen, who joined Inter from Spurs in what was a £24.3 million deal back in January, ‘continues to be a foreign body’ for Antonio Conte’s side.
In a different report by SempreInter, the website stated their belief that Eriksen has ‘struggled to adapt’ to the Italian’s ‘tactical system’, and that the 28-year-old can’t match the ‘intensity’ required to play in Inter’s setup, with the website going on to claim that the midfielder is not happy with his lack of game time at the San Siro.
Last Word On Spurs then relayed this report on Twitter, adding that Eriksen ‘could leave’ Inter just ‘a year after signing’ for the Serie A side.
So, what did these Tottenham Hotspur fans have to say in reaction to the report regarding Christian Eriksen?
We don't need him , tbh I don't want him.
Gio is a definite starter and he is insane for us plus I want Jose to somehow revive Dele's career since he didn't leave on loan— ?? (@Manu23588) October 25, 2020
I think he’d struggle to get in out squad the same way he is struggling at Inter.

We’ve moved on – Jose and Levy tried to convince him but he wouldn’t listen. Grass isn’t always greener. He did amazing things for us in his prime. Last 2 seasons he looked so disinterested

While these Spurs fans are clearly of the belief that their club should not make a move to bring Eriksen back, it is hard to argue with his record over his time in north London.
After joining from Ajax in what was a £12.74 million deal back in 2013, the £54 million-rated 28-year-old went on to feature 305 times for the club, scoring 69 goals and providing 89 assists along the way.
Would you be keen to see Christian Eriksen make a return to Spurs?
Yes
No
And it would appear, in stark contrast to the previous Tottenham fans, others could be keen on the idea of a reunion with their former player.
As much as I would like him to come home he would have to accept limited game time with us as well these days with our newfound depth

My heart says yes prime Eriksen is a different class, idk if we’d see it though

Grass ain’t greener as he thought. He was really great for us but be careful what you wish for.

I want him but we don’t need him?? such a dilemma

All in all, it would appear that opinion is somewhat split amongst Spurs fans as to whether or not they would like to see Eriksen make the move back to north London, however, while some would be keen on the move to go ahead, even they struggle to see the midfielder getting into the club’s current side.
