Fans of Tottenham Hotspur have been reacting to a post on Twitter, in which Alasdair Gold questions exactly who fans of the club believe to be the target of Jose Mourinho’s dig.
In his post on Twitter, Gold shared a link to an article of his for Football.london, which relays comments made by the Spurs boss regarding his desire for Son Heung-min to be awarded a new contract by the club.
However, Mourinho also goes on to have what Gold describes in his tweet as a “dig” at a player in his comments, with the Portuguese manager stating:
“He cannot do more than what he does. Season after season after season, Sonny is showing how good he is. It’s up to [him] to do that, or he starts doing [swears] socially and becomes famous and becomes in the big headlines because of some weird, silly or naive social behaviour, because he’s such an incredible kid, also at that level.”
So, who did these Tottenham Hotspur fans think that Jose Mourinho was referring to with these remarks?
has to be dele innit? ?

Think that’s pretty clear.

Why is this even needed, its obvious who it is

If it is Dele he’s referring to, then I hope he listens and learns, cos with the talent he obviously has and our great coaches behind him we could have a team of Galactico’s

It would appear the vast majority of these Spurs fans feel that Mourinho is having a pop at Dele Alli in his comments, and, considering the fact that the midfielder has made just two Premier League appearances so far this season, in the first of which he was taken off at half time, with the second being a 21-minute second-half cameo against Manchester United, it would indeed seem as if the 24-year-old is not exactly in Mourinho’s good books at present.
Do you think Mourinho's comments are aimed at Dele Alli?
Yes
No
Considering events of last few weeks, he can only be referring to Dele. In fairness, I thought he did ok when he came on, but like Lamela, he infuriates by not seeing the first time pass/cross. Dele now knows that he is in a top class squad. It’s up to him!

They’re all hard workers apart from Alli tbh

Dele?

All in all, it would seem the vast majority of these Tottenham fans believe Alli was the target of Mourinho’s comments, with some stating their wish that the midfielder listens to the words of his manager, and subsequently changes his attitude and work rate for the better.
