Many Tottenham Hotspur supporters have flocked to social media in order to respond to a tweet from Sergio Reguilon following their narrow win at Burnley on Monday night.

Jose Mourinho’s side won 1-0 thanks to a headed goal from Son Heung-min on 76 minutes after he combined with Harry Kane for the 29th time in the Premier League (as per BBC Sport). Reguilon wasn’t involved, with Ben Davies given the nod instead at left-back, but the £27m summer signing shared his affection for his teammate Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg after the match.

How well can you remember the last few weeks of Spurs action? 1. Which played scored a hattrick against Maccabi Haifa?

Hojbjerg shared a number of images captured during the game with the caption: ‘These are the wins! We showed our fighting side. Love it! COYS’ – to which Reguilon replied, ‘I love you’.

How did these Spurs fans react to Sergio Reguilon’s post?

Have you been pleased by what you've seen of Reguilon so far?

One fan even begged the defender to stay, which could be down to the fact that Real Madrid are able to buy the player back for an increased fee, either in the summer of 2021 or 2022.

It’s clear from the above responses that these fans are already very fond of the Spaniard who joined the club from Real Madrid in the summer. Reguilon, last season, won the UEFA Europa League with Sevilla, making 38 appearances in all competitions for the club and so to us, it comes as no surprise that he has already seemingly won over the Spurs faithful.

Alasdair Gold, the Tottenham correspondent for Football.London has recently spoken of Reguilon’s character on his YouTube channel (14:14) and the close relationship he has already developed with some of his teammates and it could be argued his recent social media activity is showcasing that side of the defender to the club’s supporters.
