Fans of Tottenham Hotspur have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays the transfer news that the club look set to sign Swansea City centre-back, Joe Rodon.
In a recent ‘mailbag’ article for The Athletic, Charlie Eccleshare reported his expectation that Tottenham will go on to land the signing of Rodon prior to the domestic transfer window deadline this Friday.
The journalist continued by stating that the clubs are still a ‘long way apart’ in their valuations of the defender, however, that the fee looks likely to be ‘a few million more than the £7 million’ Spurs had wanted to pay for the Welsh international.
So, what did these Spurs fans make of the emerging transfer news involving Joe Rodon?

Making his Swansea debut as a 20-year-old back in 2018, Rodon has gone on to feature 54 times for the first-team, chipping in with one assist along the way.
Last season, the £1.8 million-rated 22-year-old highly impressed for the Swans, averaging one tackle, 1.6 interceptions and 5.4 clearances per game over his 21 Championship appearances, as well as a WhoScored match rating of 6.90 – ranking him as the club’s fourth-best performer in the league.
His fine form appears to have carried into this season, too, with the defender averaging a WhoScored match rating of 7.46 over his four Championship appearances thus far.
Do you think Rodon would be a good signing for Spurs?
Yes
No
However, despite these impressive displays, other Spurs fans appear less convinced about their club’s move for the centre-back.

All in all, it would appear that these Spurs fans are slightly split on whether or not they would like to see their club sign Rodon, with some sharing their delight at the news that it looks like the club will indeed be landing the defender, while others seem to feel that Spurs should be saving their money to invest in a different player in January.
