Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter have been reacting to the latest piece of team news concerning their Europa League clash against LASK on Thursday. 

This comes after Spurs news Twitter account @Daily_Hotspur shared a post on their page relaying news originally revealed by Spurs boss Jose Mourinho in his latest press conference ahead of the Europa League clash.

The news, relayed onto Twitter by Spurs journalist Alasdair Gold, was that Lilywhites defender Davinson Sanchez will start in the match against the Austrian team.

After the Spurs news account then relayed this information onto their page, this quickly grabbed the attention of a lot of Spurs fans who were quick to share their thoughts on the news.

So, how did these Spurs fans react to this news?

Spurs signed the centre-back during the 2017 summer transfer window from Dutch side Ajax for a fee of £37.8 million. Since then, the 24-year-old, who is currently valued at £40.5 million, has made a total of 124 appearances for the North London club across all competitions (per Transfermarkt).

Now that this Spurs news account shared this news onto their page, this paved the way for lots of Spurs fans to have their say on the matter.

However, there were some Spurs fans responding to the post who were not as displeased as others were to hear that Sanchez will be starting in the game against LASK.

Looking at the replies to this tweet, it appears that the majority of these Spurs fans aren’t too happy with the fact that Sanchez will be starting against LASK. Given how he scored an own goal in Spurs’ previous match in their 3-3 draw against West Ham United at the weekend, it’s easy to see why these fans wouldn’t be so keen to see him back in action.

However, it’s nice to see that there are some Spurs fans who don’t seem as negative about it as others.

Hopefully, Sanchez ends up having a good game against LASK and changes the minds of some of these doubting Spurs fans.
