Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter have been reacting to the latest news surrounding Spurs full-back Sergio Reguilon.
This comes after Spurs news Twitter account @LastWordOnSpurs shared a post on their page relaying news originally published in a report by Spanish media outlet Diario AS (via Sport Witness).
The report claims that Spanish club Real Madrid see the recent drop in form from Marcelo as ‘alarming.’ Sport Witness then suggested that because of this, Madrid could soon be in the market to bring a left-back into the club and potentially use their buyback clause for Reguilon to take the Spaniard back to the Bernabeu.
After the Spurs news page then relayed this onto Twitter, it quickly grabbed the attention of a lot of Spurs fans who were not shy in sharing their thoughts on the possibility.
So, what did these Spurs fans make of this news on Reguilon?

Up to reguilon if he doesn’t want to leave spurs there’s not a lot Real Madrid can do about it, up to the player not Real Madrid.

I think he’d choose to stay

The north London club signed the Spaniard on a five-year deal from Madrid for an undisclosed fee with a reported £27.5 million buyback clause (per BBC Sport).
I mean, its simply a first option in many regards. If he is enjoying his time and wages are not an issue, he may not want to sign for Madrid

He is not going anywhere for the next couple of years if madrid want to pay 45m they will go for more experience at the moment otherwise why else would they get rid

The defender has had a decent start to life at Spurs after earning himself a season rating of 6.85/10 for his performances in the two Premier League appearances he’s made for the club so far (per WhoScored).
Reguilon has to agree..dont forget that

Are you concerned about Reguilon's buyback clause?
Yes
No
I’m sure Levy will do something to stop it.

Looking at the replies to this post, it appears as though this group of Spurs fans don’t seem too concerned by the suggestion from Sport Witness that Real Madrid could potentially use the buyback clause they have in Reguilon’s contract to bring him back to Spain.
In our view, it is a bit of a stretch to suggest that Madrid could look to sign Reguilon, who is currently valued at £25.2 million, just because Marcelo is reportedly having a dip in form.
