Supporters of Tottenham Hotspur have recently reacted to a claim regarding the loan fee which Spurs paid Real Madrid for Gareth Bale.
In September, it was announced that the north London club had secured the arrival of the Welshman from Los Blancos (per Sky Sports).
It was stated at the time that the loan move would set Jose Mourinho’s outfit back somewhere in the region of £20m in loan fees and wages.
A recent report from the Evening Standard, though, has revealed that Daniel Levy successfully knocked £1m off the loan fee when it became clear that Bale would not be fit for a month during his medical.
This report was relayed to Twitter by Hotspur Related and it had lots of Spurs fans talking.

Bale has been no stranger to injuries in recent years, as he has suffered nine separate injury setbacks since the beginning of the 2018/19 season (per Transfermarkt).
