A lot of Tottenham Hotspur fans have flocked to a post from Alasdair Gold that contains a link to an article of his that has information on a new striker for the club.
Gold claims that Spurs are closing in on the signing of a striker though he does not mention any name or give any hint as to who it could be.
Spurs have been linked with the likes of Wout Weghorst, Troy Deeney, Christian Benteke, and Arkadiusz Milik, but as of yet, they have not signed a backup for Harry Kane.
However, Gold’s post has drawn the attention of these Spurs fans who are excited.
Would you be happy if this is true?
Yes, this would be great
No, I want to know who it is
All round great news, though when I read the part about a new potential striker all I saw was Fernando Lorente back on a 14 month deal and I didn’t know how to react.

At the moment, Tottenham only have Kane, who can play as a natural striker, with a few others like Heung-min Son and Steven Bergwijn capable of playing as a forward but more suited to other positions.
In the Carabao Cup clash with Chelsea, Spurs lined up with Bergwijn and Erik Lamela upfront, perhaps showing Spurs’ need to get another striker in before the transfer window closes.
This post from Gold continued to draw the attention of these Spurs fans.

It will be intriguing to see who this forward is and if he is any of those that have been mentioned or if he is someone else.
Either way, though, it looks like by the end of the transfer window, Tottenham might have another striker to provide Kane with some support.
It is clear this news has excited many Spurs fans, so now, we will just have to see who this striker is.
