Supporters of Tottenham Hotspur have flocked to a social media post which was shared to Twitter by the club’s Belgian defender Toby Alderweireld.
On Monday night, Jose Mourinho’s side travelled to Lancashire as they faced Burnley at Turf Moor (per BBC).
During the match, a second-half goal from Heung-min Son was enough to seal the three points for Spurs, with Alderweireld playing the full game.
For his performance in the match against the Clarets, the centre-back earned an impressive 7.43/10 rating (per WhoScored).
Following the victory, the Belgian posted to Twitter with two images from the match and stated that Spurs put in a ‘strong performance’ (per Toby Alderweireld), which had lots of fans talking.

The 7.43/10 rating which the 31-year-old defender picked up during the match made him the third-best performer for Spurs on the night, with only Harry Kane and Matt Doherty scoring better.

Over the entirety of the Premier League season so far, Alderweireld has made just three appearances in the top flight for Mourinho’s side.
Across those three appearances, he has earned a 6.89/10 average rating, which has made the defender the seventh-best performer for Tottenham in the league.
