Lamela, who is valued at £14.4m, joined Spurs from Italian giants Roma in the summer of 2013 for a fee of £27 million. Since then, the Argentine has made 229 appearances for the Lilywhites and has scored a total of 35 goals while picking up 47 assists as well (as per Transfermarkt).

In the 2014-15 campaign of the Europa League, Lamela had contributed to four goals in eight appearances. Some other Spurs fans also had negative things to say about the 28-year-old winger.

These Spurs fans clearly don’t have a liking for Lamela and one fan even says that the club should sell the Argentine and sign Leon Bailey from Bayer Leverkusen instead.

In the current campaign, Lamela has made seven appearances in all competitions and he has scored two goals. In the UEFA Europa League, he has picked up a pretty good rating of 7.67 so far. In the Premier League, he has racked up a rating of 6.64 (as per Whoscored).

This suggests that it hasn’t exactly been a poor campaign for Lamela and perhaps, he is still a useful player for the Lilywhites.
