Alasdair Gold, the Tottenham correspondent for Football.london, has been discussing Sergio Reguilon during a recent video on his YouTube channel.
The Spaniard joined the north London club last month in a deal reportedly worth £27m (as per Transfermarkt) from Real Madrid and has appeared for Jose Mourinho’s side on four occasions (via WhoScored).
His two Premier League appearances to date have earned him a solid average performance rating of 6.85/10 and it appears the journalist has been impressed with the player’s character and the way he has settled into the group. Here is what he had to say:
“Sergio Reguilon is such a character, he is so confident and everyone seems to want to hug him or fight him in a [playful] way. [Pierre-Emile] Hojbjerg had him in a headlock at one point in training, [Harry] Kane came up too, gave him a hug, and he tries to do little things, like [Erik] Lamela walked by him in training and you see him give him a little elbow, like a jokey thing as if to say ‘wahey’ and it’s just, it’s a lovely mood.”

It’s clear from his comments that Gold has been impressed by the way the £25.2m-rated Reguilon has integrated at Spurs and highlights the strong relationship he appears to have with a number of his teammates.
The Spain international spent the 2019/20 campaign on loan with Europa League winners Sevilla, for whom he made 38 appearances in all competitions, scoring three goals and providing his teammates with five assists (as per Transfermarkt).
