Tottenham Hotspur-oriented journalist Alasdair Gold has recently made a claim about Gareth Bale.

While talking about many things involving Spurs in the latest video on his Youtube channel, Gold talked about Bale and how he’s feeling at Tottenham.

Bale arrived at Spurs on loan from Real Madrid in the summer transfer window. He reportedly had a frosty relationship with Zinedine Zidane at Real Madrid and he returned to Spurs seven years after he initially left them for Los Blancos in the summer of 2013 (as per Transfermarkt).

Will Bale score more than ten goals this season?

Gold revealed that Bale can’t stop smiling at Spurs and he’s living it up at the London-based side.

He said: “What’s lovely about Bale is, Mourinho was asked about it, but you can’t help to notice it – he just can’t stop smiling. He’s gone from a guy that was in a real tough spot – relatively tough obviously, he’s a very well paid guy but in terms of his work, he wasn’t enjoying his work in Madrid.

“The players liked him there but it wasn’t happening for him. He’s come to Tottenham and what I’ve been told about him behind the scenes is that he’s actually quite mischievous, he’s like a little kid.

“He’s just absolutely loving being back. He’s probably like that kid who’s left school and comes back to just see what’s happening at his old place and all the other kids remember him. He’s just kind of living it up.”

TIF Thoughts…

Bale did feature for Spurs in their recent Premier League clash against West Ham. He did get a chance to score in the game and while he was through on goal, he missed the target and failed to find the back of the net (as per BBC Sport).

So while his second debut for the club did turn a bit sour as the game ended 3-3, the fact that he seems to be feeling happy at Spurs should be a positive sign for the fans. The Lilywhites are currently sixth in the Premier League and have eight points in the bag. Spurs fans can only hope that the club benefits from the positive energy that Bale has brought with him and they qualify for the top four and potentially win silverware under Jose Mourinho.
