Football.london journalist Alasdair Gold discussed all of the latest Tottenham Hotspur news on the most recent video that has been posted to his YouTube channel and he spent some time talking about how Jose Mourinho feels about Spurs’ recent transfer business during the video.

As per the BBC, Welsh centre-back Joe Rodon became Spurs’ seventh signing of the 2020/21 season when he joined the Lilywhites last Friday, which was the domestic transfer deadline day.

This article from Football.london states that there was some business that the Lilywhites didn’t manage to get done during the most recent transfer window, however, despite that, Gold shared that Mourinho is “so happy” with his side’s recent transfer business during this YouTube video.

The journalist said: “He’s so happy. I was among those putting the questions to him yesterday at his press conference and it kind of solidified what I’d already been told by people behind the scenes at Tottenham that he is absolutely purring right now.

“He admitted it yesterday. He said – ‘I didn’t expect for us to go as far as we did in the transfer window.’ He said – ‘we’ve got so much quality in’ and the phrase that I love that he used, he said – ‘I look at the players and I see they’re excited but I also see they’re worried’ and he said – ‘I love that.’

“They’re excited at the quality in the squad and know that we can do big things but they’re also worried that they might not play and then that’s what drives them on and he said – ‘that’s what big clubs are and that’s what big clubs have.’ I just thought that was brilliant.”

TIF Thoughts on Gold’s comments about Mourinho’s feelings on Spurs’ recent transfer business…

So, judging by Gold’s comments on Mourinho’s feelings regarding the north London club’s recent transfer business, it would certainly seem as though the 57-year-old manager is delighted with the players that his side have recruited during the most recent transfer window, with the journalist sharing that the Portuguese coach thinks that the quality of depth the Lilywhites currently have, is the quality of depth that “big clubs have.”

Considering that Mourinho has been named the World’s Best Club Coach on four separate occasions while managing some big clubs such as Real Madrid, it may be fair to say that it might then be encouraging for Tottenham fans that he sees enough quality in the current Spurs squad to put them on that level.

With Mourinho having achieved plenty of success at various different clubs in his career, it will be interesting to see if he can now add to his list of honours with the Lilywhites, thanks to the quality he seems to think is in this Spurs squad.
