Keith Downie, who reports on the North East for Sky Sports, caught the attention of many Newcastle United fans after he posted a tweet that provided an update on the fitness of Allan Saint-Maximin, Ryan Fraser and Jamal Lewis ahead of the Toon’s Premier League clash with Manchester United this weekend

Saint-Maximin was ‘withdrawn after a man of the match display’ in Newcastle’s most recent Premier League clash with Burnley due to a ‘slight niggle,’ while Lewis also had a ‘niggle’ which kept him out of Northern Ireland’s recent UEFA Nations League clash with Norway.

Meanwhile, Fraser is yet to start a game for the Toon in the league this season, as he has been “eased in” at his new club, as explained by John Carver.

However, as per Downie, it appears as though all three of these players will be available for Steve Bruce’s side for Saturday’s game against the Red Devils.

So, how did these Newcastle United fans react to Downie’s fitness update on Saint-Maximin, Lewis and Fraser?

Many of the Newcastle supporters who replied to this post were happy about this news.
