A lot of Newcastle United fans have flocked to a tweet that was recently posted by Jamie Reuben following his resignation from the board of Queens Park Rangers.
Reuben’s post saw him thank everyone at QPR as he quote-tweeted a post from the west London-based club’s official Twitter account in which they shared the news of his resignation from their board.
As per ChronicleLive, Reuben has been ‘keen to be part’ of the proposed Saudi-backed Toon takeover, with which ‘work remains ongoing in the background.’

This article from ChronicleLive explains that stepping down from QPR’s board was a requirement for Reuben to be able to join the Toon’s board and now that he has left the London club, plenty of Newcastle supporters flocked to this tweet to speculate over the possibility that this could mean he is on his way to St. James’ Park.

Reuben’s resignation from the QPR board is said to have come ‘as a surprise to those close to him’ and according to ChronicleLive, those close to the Saudi-backed Toon takeover process ‘believe there will be more noise around the deal in the coming weeks.’
These Newcastle fans continued sharing their excitement over what Reuben’s departure from QPR could mean for their club in response to his tweet.
