A lot of Newcastle United fans have flocked to a post from Nick De Marco, one of the lawyers hired by Mike Ashley to help him force through the proposed takeover of the Toon by PCP Capital Partners, PIF and the Reuben brothers.
De Marco is described as the “Lionel Messi of Sports Law” in his own Twitter bio, and he has been appointed along with Shaheed Fatima to solve the dispute with the Premier League over the takeover that initially saw the consortium withdraw from talks on 30th July.
Newcastle then claimed in September that the Premier League had formally rejected it.
The league refuted this claim, and now the process is with De Marco and Fatima, and De Marco’s latest tweet of a cathedral in black and white has got these Toon fans talking.
Do you think this means anything?
No, he is just having a laugh
Yes, it means something

This follows on from two posts last week from De Marco.
One showed the stages of an oil painting that got many Toon fans talking about the potential takeover.
Then another of some bread, champagne and some Newcastle Brown Ale bottles that some Toon fans also thought were hints towards the takeover.
This latest post from De Marco continued to draw the attention of these Newcastle fans.
Black and white, cathedral, cathedral on a hill, read you loud and clear nick, thanks for the update pal ??

Such a tease lol. Got to say tho, great sense of humour. Fingers crossed he can show the @premierleague to be as corrupt as we all think. Let’s hope the evidence is there to support what Staveley had said.

It remains to be seen what will happen with this takeover after the Premier League failed to reach a decision on it before the withdrawal in July before a second attempt made behind the scenes also failed to lead to a positive conclusion.
So, the deal is in the hands of De Marco and Fatima, and it will be intriguing to see if they can find a way to force the takeover through.
