A lot of Newcastle United fans have replied to a post from NUFC 360, which includes a link to an article in the Daily Star with comments from Allan Saint-Maximin.
The 23-year-old, speaking to Sport France, claimed that he would stay with Newcastle if they match his ‘desires’, but if that doesn’t happen, then the ‘question of leaving will arise.’
Saint-Maximin also confirmed that he would love to play in Europe and the Europa League.
These comments from Saint-Maximin have got many Newcastle fans thinking that the Frenchman will be gone soon.
Do you think Saint-Maximin will stay at Newcastle for long?
No, he will be gone soon
Yes, if the takeover happens

Takeover or he’s gone

The thing is, @asaintmaximin is such a vital part of our team, and if he goes, then we are in big trouble. Don’t get me wrong, he deserves to play in Europe, but we need a takeover to happen if we’re getting anywhere near European football

And so the inevitable begins. He will be gone by January 31st. Nailed on

Since arriving on Tyneside in the summer of 2019, the 23-year-old has become a fans’ favourite with his style of play and his activity on social media.
However, this interview suggests that unless he can achieve his aims on Tyneside, he might leave the club.
These comments continued to attract Toon fans, though some were more understanding and would accept it if Saint-Maximin decided to leave.
He would have my full blessing as I truly believe he could be one of the best wingers in the world, however I would absolutely hate to see him playing for another premier league team

The inevitable has arose. Don’t blame him one bit, deserves to play for a club with higher ambitions. https://t.co/bpTz24m438

He absolutely should be looking to leave if the takeover doesn’t go through. What do we actually have to offer him? Relegation fight every year? He’s better than that.

I don’t have any issue with this! He’s an unreal player! He deserves to play in Europe, if we get this takeover done then maybe we can get there, if not then I’ll enjoy him while he’s here and wish him well if a European team comes in for him!

The Frenchman struggled in his first two Premier League games of the season, turning in a performance rated at 6.87/10, followed by one at just 5.56 (via WhoScored).
However, against Burnley, he was in superb form, scoring a goal and providing an assist as he earned an average rating of 8.65.
If he could keep up that sort of form for the rest of the season, then you would think there could be some serious interest in him next summer.
The likes of Wolverhampton Wanderers and Arsenal were linked with a move for Saint-Maximin in the summer, but nothing came of it, and he remains a Newcastle player for now.
