Supporters of Newcastle United have fumed following an announcement from the club regarding the refereeing appointment for their clash with Manchester United.

On Tuesday afternoon, the Toon tweeted the link to a post on their website which revealed that Craig Pawson would be refereeing the match at St. James’ Park (per Newcastle United).

The post on the club’s website went on to explain that Lee Mason would be in charge of VAR for the visit of the Red Devils.

Pawson has managed four matches so far this season across the Premier League, Europa League and the Championship.
