Fans of Newcastle United have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relayed an article concerning the latest Newcastle United takeover news.
The article by the Sunderland Echo claims that the Saudi Arabian-backed consortium has ‘agreed to pay more than the originally agreed £300 million’ for the purchase of Newcastle, with PIF, PCP and the Reubens reported to have accepted a proposal by Mike Ashley that would ‘see them shell out an extra 10% on top of their original purchase price’.
So, what did these fans make of the latest Newcastle United takeover news?

What’s the point though if the premier league won’t approve the takeover?

The Newcastle fans who raise the question as to why the Premier League would now suddenly approve this potentially reignited deal for the club are arguably right to do so, as not a great deal appears to have changed since the original takeover bid was withdrawn back in July.
Do you believe the takeover bid will be reignited?
Yes
No
Having said this, perhaps the fact that Ashley and the club are pursuing legal action against the Premier League regarding the failed takeover bid has caused talks to start once again between the two parties, as should the club be successful in their claim against the league, it could open the door for a new takeover bid to be pushed through.
Meanwhile, other Newcastle fans discussed why they believe the buying party would be willing to accept a fee to purchase the club that is higher than the originally agreed price.
That will cover recent transfers I’m guessing eh

All in all, it would appear that many of these Newcastle fans remain unsure as to whether a new bid for the club from the Saudi Arabian-backed consortium would see the Premier League approve the deal, while others have been speculating as to why the bidders would be willing to accept a higher fee than the £300 million originally agreed for the purchase of Newcastle United.
However, as for whether or not a new bid does indeed come in for the club in the first place, only time will tell.
