A lot of Newcastle United fans have flocked to a post from NUFC 360, which includes a link to an article from The Times with an update on Martin Dubravka’s injury situation.
It is claimed that Dubravka has suffered a setback in his return from an operation on his heel that might now keep him out until December.
The Slovakian had to have surgery in August and was expected to be out for six weeks, but it looks like he won’t be back in action until the final month of the year.
This has annoyed these Toon fans, who were hoping he would be back a lot sooner.

In his place, Karl Darlow has filled in and done a very good job – earning an average rating of 7.56/10 from his league performances so far.
This currently makes him the Toon’s best player in the Premier League, and is largely down to a stunning 9.34 display he delivered against Tottenham Hotspur.
Perhaps as a result of Darlow’s form, these Toon fans are not that bothered about this setback for Dubravka.

Until this injury, Dubravka had not missed a single league game for Newcastle since initially joining Newcastle on loan in January 2018 and his debut appearance against Manchester United, in which he turned in a man-of-the-match display.
This has meant that Darlow has had to bide his time, but judging by his form, he is taking this opportunity, and if he can keep it up, you would think Steve Bruce would have a decision to make on who will be his first-choice goalkeeper when Dubravka returns.
