Many Newcastle United fans have flocked to social media in order to respond to a Twitter post from Nick De Marco QC, suggesting he could be trying to convey a cryptic message to the St. James’ Park faithful.
De Marco is a member of the Blackstone Chambers firm who Mike Ashley hired in order to represent his and the club’s interest in their legal battle with the Premier League following the collapse of the Saudi-backed consortium’s proposed takeover of the club earlier this year.
Ashley claims the attempted takeover was ‘unfairly blocked‘ but the saga continues to rumble on.
How have this group of Newcastle supporters responded to Nick De Marco’s tweet?
I’m going to take this as a subliminal message regarding positive news on the NUFC takeover so I can gan to bed happy!!!???

Many fans have suggested that there is some sort of subliminal message regarding the Newcastle takeover in De Marco’s tweet, however, in our view, this is based on hope rather than anything that points to the possibility of progress having been made in the legal battle.
We believe this to be nothing more than the barrister showing off his new coastal property and nothing for the Magpies supporters to get excited about.
