The 18-year-old’s 87th-minute goal gave the Toon a late 2-1 lead in this game and that is how this contest ultimately finished.
Flaherty, who is an attacking midfielder that can also play at both left and right midfield, has scored more Premier League 2 goals (three) than any other Newcastle United U23s player this season, with his latest goal versus Fulham taking his tally for the 2020/21 campaign up to three Premier League 2 goals.
