Fans of Newcastle United have been reacting to a post on Twitter, in which George Caulkin asked for reasons as to why Newcastle fans are fond of Isaac Hayden.

In his post, the journalist asked fans to give him their reasons as to why they ‘admire/like/respect/love’ the midfielder, who arrived at the club from Arsenal in what was a £2.61 million deal back in the summer of 2016.

So, what did these Newcastle United fans have to say about Isaac Hayden in response to George Caulkin’s post on Twitter?

Since moving to the club, the £9 million-rated 25-year-old has made 136 appearances, chipping in with six goals and providing 10 assists along the way.

In terms of his level of performance, Hayden has averaged seasonal WhoScored match ratings of 7.28, 6.53, 6.96 and 6.72 over his four full seasons with Newcastle, which works out at a fairly impressive 6.87 rating over the seasons in question.

All in all, it would appear the vast majority of these Newcastle fans are delighted with the level of commitment Hayden has shown to the team, with some even suggesting that they rate the midfielder higher than the likes of Leeds United’s Kalvin Phillips or West Ham United’s Declan Rice.
