Fans of Newcastle United have been reacting to a post on Twitter, in which George Caulkin asked for reasons as to why Newcastle fans are fond of Isaac Hayden.
In his post, the journalist asked fans to give him their reasons as to why they ‘admire/like/respect/love’ the midfielder, who arrived at the club from Arsenal in what was a £2.61 million deal back in the summer of 2016.
So, what did these Newcastle United fans have to say about Isaac Hayden in response to George Caulkin’s post on Twitter?
We have nothing like him in England an old fashioned out and out ball winning defensive midfielder him and Shelley remind me of tiote and cabaye. England’s most underrated midfielder

He gives you everything when he pulls the shirt on and when he had tough times he always gave it his all and in my opinion he is a far better player than Declan Rice

Do you believe that Hayden is one of Newcastle's biggest assests?
Yes
No
And, so far this term, the midfielder has averaged a WhoScored match rating of 6.74 over his five Premier League appearances – ranking him as the club’s seventh-best performer in the league.
Very honest footballer , works hard off the field and never craves a thanks or publicity . In my opinion he deserves some international recognition .. why Kalvin Phillips and not Hayden ?

Loads of reasons to like him but for me the standout is his persistence with nufc. Wanted to go back down south for sometime, the usual negative corners of our fan base gave him stick, but he kept going and now he’s one of our biggest assets.

All in all, it would appear the vast majority of these Newcastle fans are delighted with the level of commitment Hayden has shown to the team, with some even suggesting that they rate the midfielder higher than the likes of Leeds United’s Kalvin Phillips or West Ham United’s Declan Rice.
