Manchester City podcaster Stephen Tudor has recently made a worrying claim regarding Pep Guardiola’s future at the Etihad Stadium.

The 49-year-old Spaniard has been situated in Manchester since the summer of 2016 and has overseen 240 matches as City boss (per Transfermarkt).

Of those 240 games, a whopping 178 of them have been won which has led to City securing two Premier League titles, one FA Cup, three League Cups and two Community Shields during Guardiola’s tenure.

However, as things currently stand, the Spanish manager’s contract with the Citizens comes to an end at the end of the current campaign.

During the latest episode of a West Ham-based podcast, We Are West Ham, Tudor made an appearance to preview City’s game with the Irons this weekend and made a worrying claim. (53:00)

Man City fan? We bet you can't get 100% on this Kevin De Bruyne quiz. We'll start you off with an easy one. From which team did Kevin De Bruyne join City?

He said: “It very much feels like the beginning of the end phase. He still hasn’t committed to another contract, so, there’s every likelihood he’s going to leave at the end of this season.

“I believe that probably will be the case, although maybe it depends on how this season pans out, I don’t know. Maybe he is just keeping his options open to this point.

“He certainly loves it in Manchester and he loves the people and living there. He’s very happy with the club and he’s got all his friends around him as regards to the people high up there.

“So, he’s got everything in place but, from a footballing perspective, he has to almost start again this season after what happened last term. The players just looked jaded, it looked like we needed a reset.

“So, we’ll have to see how this season pans out but it does very much have a feeling that we’re in the final chapters now of what’s been just an extraordinary time to be a City fan.”
