Fans of Leeds United have been reacting to a post on Twitter, in which Leeds midfielder, Kalvin Phillips, commented on his latest appearance for England.

In his post, Phillips shared three images from England’s 3-0 victory over Wales on Thursday evening, as well as stating: “First home start for England at Wembley Stadium. An important victory in preparation for the next match. Well done lads.”

In reaction to his tweet, fans of Leeds flocked to have their say on the matter, with many praising the 24-year-old’s performance in the fixture, while others claimed that the midfielder is doing his club and their fans proud by representing his country.

Last season, Phillips played an important part in ensuring the club returned to the top flight of English football after a 16-year absence, averaging a highly impressive WhoScored match rating of 7.22/10 over his 37 Championship appearances, chipping in with two goals and providing two assists along the way.

And, it would appear that many Leeds fans are equally as impressed with the midfielder’s performances for the national team as they have been with his performances for the club, with a great deal more taking to Twitter to praise the 24-year-old.

All in all, it would appear that these Leeds fans are enamoured with Phillips, and are incredibly proud of their player for his performances for England.
