Fans of Leeds United have been reacting to a post on Twitter, in which Phil Hay relays an article of his regarding the club’s goalkeepers, Kiko Casilla and Illan Meslier.
In the article for The Athletic, Hay discusses Meslier’s position as Marcelo Bielsa’s number one ‘keeper at the club, as well as the fact that ‘sources at Leeds’ say that Casilla will remain at Elland Road ‘beyond the end of the transfer window’, which is set to close on Monday.
Hay then shared this information in a post on Twitter, which also contained a link to his article, and, in reaction to the news that Casilla will be staying at the club, many of the Leeds fans were left furious.
Thought we’d got rid of Kiko the clown ! Thanks for ruining my day Phil !

The angry reaction of these Leeds fans to the news that Casilla looks to be staying at their club is, in our opinion, very understandable.
This is because, last season, the Spaniard was found to have racially abused Charlton Athletic striker Jonathan Leko, and was subsequently banned for eight matches.
Do you think Casilla should be sold?
Yes
No
As such, it is hardly surprising to see many of the Leeds fans disappointed at the fact the ‘keeper will be staying with their club, with many more taking to Twitter to share their displeasure at the news.
@camchesie great. Let’s just hope Meslier stays fit and in form because the thought of Casilla in goal in the PL is a big worry

So Phil can you see him just fading into the background at Leeds to see out his contract? Or possibly going out on loan and maybe another keeper coming in?

All in all, it would appear that the vast majority of these Leeds fans are not happy with the fact that Casilla will be staying at their club beyond the end of the transfer window, and, we have to say, considering the Spaniard’s actions last year, we do not blame them one bit.
