An academy product of Leeds, Phillips has gone on to feature 185 times for his hometown club, scoring 12 goals and providing 11 assists along the way.
Last season, the £10.8 million-rated 24-year-old highly impressed throughout the club’s Championship-winning season, scoring two goals and providing two assists over his 37 league appearances, averaging a WhoScored match rating of 7.22/10 – ranking him as the club’s joint-second-best performer in the league.
This fine form appears to have continued into this season, with the midfielder averaging a WhoScored match rating of 7.15 over his four Premier League appearances thus far.
