Who did Leeds sign from a La Liga side in September?

So, what did these Leeds fans make of the news that Sam Greenwood would be sidelined because of injury?

The frustration of these Leeds fans is rather understandable, as Greenwood is the latest in a number of the club’s players to have picked up knocks while away on international duty, after Liam Cooper and Diego Llorente both returned to the club with groin injuries.

As for Greenwood in particular, while the 18-year-old is yet to feature for Marcelo Bielsa’s first team, the forward has impressed for the club’s U23 side since his £1.53 million move from Arsenal in August, scoring five goals in three games, as well as being awarded the Premier League 2 Player of the Month Award for September.

However, with the England U18 international now joining Cooper and Llorente on the treatment table, many more Leeds fans took to Twitter to air their frustrations with their players being taken away from the club for international fixtures.

All in all, it would appear that the vast majority of these Leeds fans are extremely frustrated with their players leaving the club to feature in international fixtures, and, considering Greenwood is the third player to return to Thorp Arch injured, it is not difficult to see why.
