A lot of Leeds United fans have replied to a post from Phil Hay that contains an update on the Whites’ pursuit of Raphinha, with The Athletic reporter confirming that the Brazilian arrived in England on Sunday night and that the deal should move quickly.
Raphinha played and scored for Rennes yesterday, but now it looks like he will sign for Leeds, which had these Whites fans buzzing.

The Brazilian would need a work permit but Hay went on to suggest that Leeds believe this won’t be a problem.
The 23-year-old has started the season well having scored one league goal and provided two assists, earning an average rating of 7.15/10 (as per WhoScored).
This would put him in joint-fifth place in Leeds’ squad, so you can see why the Whites want to sign Raphinha, and they have moved quickly on this deal, having agreed a fee with Rennes over the weekend.
This post from Hay continued to draw the attention of these Leeds fans.
Hope this is a player we really wanted not just a last minute panic buy . Time will tell.

One fan even thought that the deal was off after he featured for Rennes yesterday.
Shocked that he played, thought that was deal off

If the Whites complete the signing of Raphinha, that will mean Leeds have strengthened their squad in a few areas of the pitch.
Raphinha is a versatile player who scored nine goals and provided five assists last season, so he could prove to be a good addition to Leeds’ squad, and it is clear that many Whites fans are excited about his potential arrival.
Still, some are wary of getting too excited after what happened with the Michael Cuisance deal.
It will be interesting to see if Leeds complete the Raphinha deal today.
