Fans of Leeds United have been reacting to a post on Twitter, in which Phil Hay shares the club’s confirmed 25-man Premier League squad for the first half of the season.

In his post, Hay shares an image of Marcelo Bielsa’s squad for the Premier League season, as well as commenting, in particular, on the inclusion of centre-forward Jay-Roy Grot, who the journalist states is ‘injured at present’ as well as being ‘out of contract next summer’.

Grot joined Leeds back in August of 2017, in what was a £1.44 million deal from Dutch side NEC Nijmegen, and went on to feature 22 times in all competitions in his first season with the club, scoring one goal and providing one assist.

However, since Marcelo Bielsa’s arrival at the club in the summer of 2018, the £720,000-rated 22-year-old has not featured again for the club, which could go some way to explaining the surprise of these Leeds fans at the inclusion of the striker in Bielsa’s Premier League squad.

All in all, it would seem these Leeds fans are surprised to see the inclusion of Grot in Bielsa’s squad, however, others, perhaps rather jokingly, have called for the striker to get some game time.
