A lot of Leeds United fans have replied to a post from Phil Hay that contains an update on Barry Douglas as his future looks to be away from Elland Road.
The Athletic reporter has claimed that Watford are after Douglas, while Blackburn Rovers have emerged as the latest potential destination for the former Wolverhampton Wanderers man.
Douglas has only made one appearance this season – coming in the Carabao Cup – and has not been in any matchday squad for any of Leeds’ first four Premier League games.
This news has drawn the attention of these Whites fans, who are gutted that Douglas’ move to Leeds hasn’t worked out.
Do you think Leeds should let Douglas go?
Yes, he isn't getting the game time
No, we should keep him in the squad
Gutted for Bash, Was so excited when we signed him was unbelievable for wolves was shocked they let him go.
Still Think he still couldve brought summat to this team In the premier league.

Shame. Lot of time for @barrydouglas03. Super player that doesn’t get the rub of the opportunity green

Absolutely gutted for @barrydouglas03
Really would prefer him the squad over Davis but he deserves play time and is a double champ. He can definitely give a lot to another team if we’re not even gonna have him on the bench— Jake Hadfield (@JAHadfield) October 4, 2020
The 31-year-old was signed from Wolverhampton Wanderers in the summer of 2018.
He has gone on to make 44 appearances for the Whites; however, last season Douglas often found himself behind both Stuart Dallas and Ezgjan Alioski in the pecking order for the left-back spot.
So, perhaps it is no surprise that he is potentially leaving Elland Road.
This post from Hay continued to draw the attention of many Leeds fans.
Good luck to him. Needs regular games

Shame we never saw the Wolves goalscoring BD, coupled with injury just never meant to be. Wish him well wherever he goes.

Best thing for him, not good enough for us unfortunately. Lacks pace

I like Barry Douglas but doesn’t seem like Bielsa fancies him at all. He’ll be a good signing for someone.

Noooo I love Douglas. What a left foot!!

Douglas was in sublime form for Wolves in their 2017/18 Championship-winning season as he scored five goals and provided 15 assists in all competitions, but he has not been able to recreate that form for Leeds, so perhaps a move back to the Championship can help get him going again.
It is clear that many Leeds fans feel bad for Douglas, but maybe it is for the best that he moves on.
