Many Leeds United supporters have taken to social media to discuss the performance of Patrick Bamford following their defeat at the hands of Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League.
Raul Jimenez opened the scoring for the visitors on 70 minutes and despite their efforts, Marcelo Bielsa’s side were unable to find an equaliser. Bamford, who has started the season in excellent form, scoring three goals and providing his teammates with two assists (as per Transfermarkt) has received some criticism from a section of the club’s fanbase following his latest display.
So what did these Leeds fans make of Patrick Bamford’s performance?
Drop Bamford and let the Spanish number 9 lead our line ?

Bamford is a hero at Leeds, but it’s clear Rodrigo is an all-round better player. Plays for Spain in a front three. Harrison/Rodrigo/Raphinha will keep us up.

Was Patrick Bamford a victim of a lack of service versus Wolves?
Yes
No
Games like that we need Rodrigo upfront not bamford, felt for him today

I think Bamford has proven he can be a threat in the premier. But wonder if Rodrigo could perhaps do more in that position #lufc

It’s clear from the above responses that these Leeds fans didn’t feel the £9m-rated striker was anywhere near his best on the night and some suggested Marcelo Bielsa should have gone with Rodrigo as the furthest player forward instead which in our view, seems a little unfair given the Englishman’s positive start to the campaign.
Despite the defeat on Monday night, Leeds have already managed to pick up seven points this season. That is six more than Fulham and five more than West Bromwich Albion (via premierleague.com) who were also promoted, so in our view, there is no need to panic as a result of them having an off-night.
