Many Leeds United supporters have been reacting to a Twitter post from Barry Douglas following his loan move to Blackburn Rovers.
The Scottish defender signed for the Whites in 2018 from their upcoming opponents Wolverhampton Wanderers in a deal reportedly worth £3.06m (as per Transfermarkt). Since joining the Elland Road club, he made 44 appearances, contributing five assists.
Douglas hasn’t played anywhere near as much football as he’d have liked in recent times, he made just 15 appearances in the Championship last season and prior to the move to Ewood Park, he was yet to feature in the top-flight for Marcelo Bielsa’s side (as per Transfermarkt).
The 31-year-old put together a farewell post and shared it via his Twitter account.
So how did the Leeds faithful respond to Barry Douglas’ goodbye?

It’s clear from the above responses that many of these Leeds supporters are sad to see Douglas go. Although he has joined the Championship club on a season-long loan, his contract with the Yorkshire-based club is due to expire at the end of the current season so it could potentially be goodbye.
