The statement on the club’s website confirmed that shareholders of the Premier League have now agreed to work together for a future plan for the financing of English football. The statement said that this project has the full support of the FA and it will include engagement with the EFL as well.
In the meeting, clubs had agreed to come up with a ‘rescue package’ that will help League One and League Two clubs financially in the tough times of the pandemic.
Some other Leeds fans also reacted to this update in a positive way and they made their opinion very clear.
THANK YOUUUU!! https://t.co/e9NsErtYET

Common sense can be achieved but it’s a shame it nearly always happens when there is a massive outcry!
Do the right thing and share that money throughout the EFL and National Leagues, we know you have it now!

great news, though I don’t get why it wasn’t 18 teams voting against, given than ManU and Liv were the ones proposing it in the first place?

These Leeds fans are pretty happy about the fact that the project isn’t going ahead and they are expressing their delight very clearly.
Project Big Picture sought to hand the power in the Premier League to the nine clubs that have remained in the division for the longest amount of time. The Premier League had initially said that this proposal could have had a ‘damaging impact’ on the English game (as per Sky Sports).
So it is understandable why these Leeds fans are happy that Project Big Picture won’t be pursued in the Premier League – especially since it didn’t hand any special powers to the Elland Road-based club.
