Supporters of Leeds United have recently flocked to a post regarding the Whites’ 21-year-old midfielder Jamie Shackleton.
On Tuesday evening, Leeds Live reporter Beren Cross shared a post which discussed the young Englishman’s future at Elland Road (per Beren Cross).
The piece on Leeds Live’s website noted that Shackleton was ‘the ultimate project’ of the club’s manager Marcelo Bielsa and also a ‘favourite’ of his.
Cross’ article went on to discuss the future of the youngster with United, with the journalist stating that Bielsa ‘backs him all the way’.
After this post was relayed to supporters on social media, lots of them flocked to it to air their thoughts on Shackleton.
So, what did these Leeds fans have to say following Beren Cross’ post on Jamie Shackleton?
Shackleton's always felt like one of Bielsa's favourites. The first of the under-23s to be blooded. The one who stuck around the first team. Last season was tough for him, but Friday night he was electric. A reminder he's the future for all of us. #lufc https://t.co/PCvEuG1x3d

I think it’s telling that when he came on against Villa, or against anyone tbh, you never worry or see him as a weak link. He’s a proper first team player now in my eyes.

I can’t give this lad enough praise. With his attitude, work rate and ability he epitomises the modern #lufc and I am in no doubt he’ll be in an England shirt before long. Great lad.

Shackleton is what Lewis Cook could’ve been IMO.
