Koch, who joined the club in the summer from SC Freiburg in a deal reportedly worth £11.7m (as per Transfermarkt) was partnered up with Pascal Struijk in the heart of Marcelo Bielsa’s defence after Liam Cooper had to pull out following the warm-up.
