First up in this quiz on Gabriel Agbonlahor, how old is the former Villa man?

On the topic of Wesley, who has been out injured since January, Dolan had this to say on the player and his recovery.

He said: “I think with Wesley, he may be back by the end of the year but in terms of being fit and getting match practice and game time, it’s going to take him, I mean we saw it with [John] McGinn, it took McGinn a good 11, 12 games to really find his feet and Wesley’s not going to be in and around that starting XI anytime soon.

“I think he’s one for next season if I’m being honest.”

Wesley signed to Villa back in the 2019 summer transfer window from Belgian side Club Brugge for a fee of £22.5 million. During his debut season at Villa, the striker suffered a serious knee injury in Villa’s match away at Burnley on New Year’s Day that ruled him out for the rest of the 2019/20 season.

According to Transfermarkt, Wesley is expected to be back from injury in January next year.

Before suffering his injury, the Brazilian, who is currently valued at £18 million, managed to score six goals in 22 appearances for the Birmingham club.

TIF Thoughts on Chris Dolan’s comments on Wesley…

Given the seriousness of the injury Wesley sustained, it would probably make sense for Villa not to rush him back into action and maybe just ease him back into the swing of things when he does fully recover.

Hopefully, when he does get back on the pitch for Villa, Wesley can become a useful player for the club and get some more goals under his belt.
