First up in this quiz on Gabriel Agbonlahor, how old is the former Villa man?

One of the topics that came up while he was talking about Villa was the signing of Ross Barkley, and after Mark Chapman discussed the role that Jack Grealish played in Villa signing the Chelsea midfielder on loan, Morrison was full of praise for Grealish and also for Dean Smith’s side for signing Barkley.

It seems as if Morrison thinks that Villa signing the England international on loan from the Blues will take pressure from Grealish, and he thinks that he is a good addition to Villa’s squad.

He said: (28:48) “Fair play to Jack Grealish.

“He doesn’t want all the stuff on his shoulders because he is the main man; last season Villa were looking for him all the time and saying ‘can Jack Grealish win us the game?’

“I think the signing of Ross Barkley is brilliant; you look at him yesterday [Sunday] he wasn’t really in the game, but there’s a little bit of magic right at the end, 20-yards-out and it’s a great strike into the bottom corner.

“So, I now feel like Jack Grealish has got someone he can look to play one-twos with.”

TIF Thoughts on Morrison’s view on Villa signing Barkley…

Since joining Villa from Chelsea on loan until the end of the season, Barkley has made two league appearances and has scored two Premier League goals, earning him an average rating of 7.96.

On Sunday, he popped up with the winner in injury time as Villa made it four wins from four in the Premier League.

The former Everton man received a pass from John McGinn and thundered in a drive from outside the box, that saw Villa move up to second in the Premier League table.

So, you can see why Morrison thinks that Barkley was a good signing, and if he can keep up this sort of form, then maybe we will see Barkley in the England squad for the Euros; Morrison certainly thinks we will.
