Starting with an easy one - which club did Celtic sign Moussa Dembele from?

Ntcham has been at Celtic since the summer of 2017 when he joined from Manchester City. Turnbull though, has now joined Celtic and Motherwell have received a record fee from his sale. This has come 14 months after his move to Parkhead had collapsed in the summer of 2019 (as per BBC Sport).

While talking about Turnbull, Sutton discussed the future of Ntcham and how he can be a player who might leave Celtic soon.

Do you see Ntcham leaving Celtic this summer?

Sutton said: “Does it mean that it is the end of Olivier Ntcham? I think it does. It looks like Turnbull’s come in, Ntcham will possibly be the one who is sold and who is let go. I know Ntcham’s come in for a bit of criticism at the start of the season, I don’t think Neil Lennon necessarily helped by [speaking] about players wanting away and supporters assuming that Ntcham would be one of those players, but I think Ntcham’s a really good footballer.”

TIF Thoughts…

Ntcham has been linked with a move to Premier League clubs like Southampton, Everton and West Ham. Lyon and Porto are also said to be interested in the midfielder.

Clearly, there is no shortage of interest in the Frenchman and because of that, Celtic won’t have issues finding buyers for him if they want to sell him this summer. In Turnbull, they have a player who can add depth to the midfield and potentially replace Ntcham, who is valued at £3.60m.

So because of Turnbull, Celtic might not miss Ntcham and there won’t be a gaping hole for them to fill in the midfield. So selling the Frenchman may not be a problem for the Bhoys.
