In-the-know podcaster @ExWHUemployee has recently discussed transfer rumours surrounding West Ham United.

So far this summer, the Irons have only sealed the arrival of one player and that was a deal to make Tomas Soucek’s loan move from Slavia Prague a permanent transfer for £14.58m (per Transfermarkt).

In terms of outgoings, six players have left the club with the most notable of them being Grady Diangana who transferred to West Bromwich Albion for £18m (per BBC).

Three players that have been linked with the Irons in recent weeks are Burnley’s James Tarkowski, Brentford’s Said Benrahma and Solly March of Brighton & Hove Albion.

So, in the latest episode of The West Ham Way Podcast, @ExWHUemployee discussed recent transfer rumours and made a claim regarding transfer funds.

Who did West Ham United face in their opening fixture of the 2020/21 Premier League season?

He said: “Agents know that we’re desperate for players now. They know that we are approaching the deadline day – they know we want players.

“[They] know that we’re on a restricted budget, so, we’re now just getting flooded with offers.

“So, most players linked with West Ham, there’s an element of truth in it, but that doesn’t mean we want to sign them.

“I have been told that David Moyes is doing his due diligence on signings, so he’s taking his time deciding, but there is money there now available for players because we sold Diangana.”

TIF Thoughts…

Judging from what the in-the-know podcaster had to say, West Ham are being offered a number of players by agents because they know the club needs reinforcements.

@ExWHUemployee also believes that there is money available for the Irons to sign players following Diangana’s sale to the Baggies.
