Spurs fans on Twitter have been reacting to a reported update on Real Madrid left-back Sergio Reguilon, which suggests that Jose Mourinho has personally called the Spanish international regarding a possible move to Tottenham Hotspur.
According to Spanish news outlet AS, as per Sport Witness (via Hotspur Related), Spurs are interested in signing the 23-year-old defender this summer, and Mourinho has been in contact with him in order to discuss a potential move to north London. The report suggests that both Manchester United and Chelsea are also interested in signing the left-back, although it is thought the chances of the Blues signing him have significantly reduced following their purchase of Ben Chilwell earlier in the transfer window.
Reguilon spent last season on loan with Sevilla and showed his quality in La Liga, averaging an impressive 7.1/10 match rating across his 31 appearances in the Spanish top flight (per WhoScored). With the report suggesting that Zinedine Zidane’s side are ready to cash in on the Spaniard; perhaps Spurs would be able to negotiate a price lower than his current £22.5 million market value (as per Transfermarkt).
