Tottenham Hotspur YouTuber Chris Cowlin recently welcomed Ricky Sacks onto his channel for a discussion about the latest transfer rumours surrounding the North London club.

The ‘Transfer Talk‘ episode featured a variety of topics, mainly focusing on some of the incomings and outgoings the duo expect to see before the transfer window shuts next week.

One topic of conversation during the video was the future of Spurs defender Juan Foyth, who after failing to make an appearance so far this season, certainly doesn’t look to be part of Jose Mourinho’s first-team plans at present.

How well can you remember the last week of Spurs action? 1. Who scored Spurs' first goal in the win against KF Shkendija?

Here’s what Sacks had to say about the Argentinian international during the video:

“As we understand at the moment, Juan Foyth is also in talks about a potential move to Valencia.”

He adds later in the video:

“I think the issue at the moment [is] probably that Valencia would like the player on loan, Daniel Levy is very keen to get that player leaving on a permanent transfer. So again, I would expect that deal to go down to the deadline.

“It’s clear that he’s not part of Jose Mourinho’s first-team plans. We haven’t seen him feature at all this season so he’s a player that I would expect to leave the club if a deal can be done.”

TIF Thoughts…

The 22-year-old joined Spurs from Estudiantes in 2017 and in his three years with the club, he has managed just 32 first-team appearances for the Lilywhites (per Transfermarkt).

Do you think Foyth will leave before the transfer window shuts?

No

The young defender has also made just two starts under Mourinho since he was appointed in November last year, so as Sacks suggests, it certainly doesn’t feel as if he is part of the Portuguese manager’s plans, and therefore perhaps we will see him depart before the transfer window closes.

It has been suggested that his potential sale could be used to raise funds for a move for Inter defender Milan Skriniar, so Spurs may have to act quickly if they want to ship the £12.15 million-rated man out.
